oh my gosh, just shut up already melanie thought as she grabbed the pillow nearest her and placed it on top of her head. she was in the middle of the best dream ever, starring mr jayson davis. yeah, he was one of her close friends but that didn't mean that she could not thin he was cute beyond belief. anyways, melanie wanted to continue her dream but her siblings were yelling god knows what at each other, and melanie was about to spazz out. she loved them to death but it was times like these when she wished that they weren't around, or at least that she had her own room. but they could barely afford having a two bedroom apartment, let alone a house big enough for all nine of them. so for now she would have to stand it. "shut up" melanie yelled. she could stand it, but not today. it was a monday and she hated mondays. wait monday melanie thought. as soon as that thought crossed her mind, melanie dashed out of bed and straight in the bathroom. no wonder they were so rowdy melanie thought as she stripped off her clothes and got into the shower. fifteen minutes later, she was out and had proceeded to throw on whatever was clean, and fit. she put on her shoes and ran a comb through her hair. seeing as she had no time, she didn't even bother to blow dry it. she grabbed her backpack and ran out of the door. her siblings were already walking to the local college while she, along with her two older siblings, were on their way to high school. they were already ahead of her so melanie practically ran to catch up with them. finally, they made their way into the high school and relief spread as melanie ran to her locker and grabbed the books she needed for her next class. she looked around for her friends but none seemed to be around, then again, she was a little late and most of her friends were probably already in class or just hanging out before their next class started. as for melanie, she was usually an early-bird that got to class at least five minutes earlier. she wouldn't necessarily go in, but she would be right outside just in case something happened. yeah, she was a stickler for the rules. anyways, melanie finished getting her books and walked to her class. then she started to remember her dream. it was weird to say the least. jayson and her were hanging out like usual, she was doing most of the talking while he listened and said some things from time to time. then he grabbed her hand and pulled her up and started dancing with her. and people were staring at them but he didn't care. then he moved his face forward, and melanie swore he was about to kiss her, unfortunately, her siblings ruined the dream for her. melanie continued walking to her classroom when suddenly she realized that jayson's locker was right next to her classroom. she walked slightly faster, hoping that she would not miss him. unfortunately, she walked a little too fast and ended up bumping into someone. when she looked up, she realized that she bumped into the person she had been hoping to catch up with.

- - - - - - - - - Jayson really hated Mondays, heading back to classes was the worst. He wish he could spend his whole week the way he spent his weekend, which involved running each morning and hitting the gym on top of football practice. A lot of people warned him that he'd wear himself out, but that's what he was hoping for. It helped to distract him from any thoughts of his father, despite it being years since his passing it was still really hard on him.
Opening his locker, Jay searched through his books, trying to think of his Monday schedule. It wasn't that he was tired, he was actually a morning person, he loved to go running at 5am, although he didn't usually on school days.
Grabbing his history book, Jayson closed his locker, turning to head to class when someone rammed right into him. As he looked down at the person, he smiled seeing his friend Melenie. "Morning," he said, stepping back from her a bit so she wasn't right on top of him. "You seem in a rush," he pointed out, seeing as she had just walked straight into him.
Melenie was the closest thing Jayson had to a best friend, although he wouldn't call her that seeing as he didn't open up to her at all. Best friends were suppose to know all your secrets and everything about you, no one knew him like that, he preferred it that way. Caring about people ended with you being hurt, it wasn't really worth it. A lot of guys noticed that she was pretty and cute, but Jayson hadn't really thought about it. If asked he'd admit that she was attractive, but he never thought anything of it, he never wanted a real relationship anyway, that involved getting close and opening up to someone. Honestly, he was the type to have no clue if a girl was into him, even if she were to make a move. The girl would have to pretty much tell her she was interested, other wise he wouldn't have a clue. It was sort of pathetic, most teenage boys were obsessed with girls, but he had different obsessions and too many worries to be on the same page as most boys his age.
"I'm really not in the mood for classes today," he said with a frown, running his free hand up through his mess of hair, his other holding his histroy book.

melanie honestly didn't know what was wrong with her today. usually she woke up before her alarm and she always had enough time to make sure that she ahd not forgotten anything. which reminded her, did she even put her homework in her backpack. melanie hoped that she did because if she didn't, she would get her first zero. hopefully her other classmates could give it to her. she wasn't all that into cheating but this was a desperate time. and it was fair, she had gotten them plenty of A's before. now that she thought about it, she remembered that her brother had her homework. that was one of the advantage of having every class with her twin. sure, melanie did most of the homework, but on those rare occasions that melanie forgot things or got lazy, there was always someone there. anyways, all these thoughts, along with thought of jayson were the reason why melanie was so distracted. yeah, jayson would never be anything more than a friend to her but still a girl could dream. and boy did she dream about that boy. anyways, a scarlet blush spread through melanie's cheecks when she realize that she had bumped into jayson. "good morning...and yeah sorry about bumping into you i woke up late" melanie said. there was no way that she would even mention that he was the reason she was late. nope, she had to get over this crush before she got crushed. melanie remember when she first met him, she had barely moved to town but she has already met a couple of people. then she saw jayson. everyone advised her to stay away, seeing as he had been pretty beat up after his father died. but for once, melanie didn't follow what other people told her, and she started talking to him. he never talked much, he still doesn't talk that much, but melanie enjoyed his company. even if he didn't open up to her, she still wanted to be there for that moment when he did. she watched as he ran his hand through his hand. god, how she wished that she could do that. melanie shook her head though, which led to her hair falling into her face, she couldn't continue to think about jayson like that, it just wasn't right for her to get her hopes up. "believe it or not, i'm not either" melanie said. yes, a miracle had happened, the smartest girl in their class did not want to be in school. she did need a break every now and then. but its not like she could do anything about it. "too bad we still have too" melanie continued. well, they could skip but she didn't have the guts to do that. she was a wimp. thought skipping with kayson sounded perfect but no, she would not do that. she refused.
